1 A BILL for an Act to amend and reenact section 49-02-08 of the North Dakota Century Code,
2 relating to the manner in which public utility meters may be tested.
3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF NORTH DAKOTA:
4 SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. Section 49-02-08 of the North Dakota Century Code is
5 amended and reenacted as follows:
6 49-02-08. Testing meters - Gas - Electric.
7 The commission shall make teststest, from time to time, ofrequest a public utility to test, or
8 use a third party to test meters of public utilities used:
9 1. To measure the amount of electric current passing through such meters to consumers.
10 2. To measure the amount of gas passing through such meters for the use of its
11 customers.
12 3. To determine the British thermal unit content of natural or artificial gas distributed by
13 public utilities in this state.
