1 A BILL for an Act to provide an appropriation for defraying the expenses of the public employees
2 retirement system; and to provide an exemption.
3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF NORTH DAKOTA:
4 SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION. The funds provided in this section, or so much of the funds
5 as may be necessary, are appropriated out of any moneys from special funds from income to
6 the public employees retirement system for the purpose of defraying the expenses of the public
7 employees retirement system, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2021, and ending June 30,
8 2023.

17 SECTION 2. ONE-TIME FUNDING. The following amounts reflect the one-time funding
18 items approved by the sixty-sixth legislative assembly for the 2019-21 biennium:

23 SECTION 3. EXEMPTION - LINE ITEM TRANSFERS. Notwithstanding section 54-16-04,
24 the director of the office of management and budget shall transfer appropriation authority from

1 the contingencies line item in section 1 of this Act to any other line item as requested by the
2 public employees retirement system board. The agency shall notify the legislative council of any
3 transfers made pursuant to this section.
