1 A BILL for an Act to provide an appropriation for defraying the expenses of the office of the
2 governor; and to provide for a report.
3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF NORTH DAKOTA:
4 SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION. The funds provided in this section, or so much of the funds
5 as may be necessary, are appropriated out of any moneys in the general fund in the state
6 treasury, not otherwise appropriated, to the office of the governor for the purpose of defraying
7 the expenses of the office of the governor, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2021, and ending
8 June 30, 2023, as follows:

1 SECTION 3. ADDITIONAL INCOME - APPROPRIATION - GOVERNOR'S OFFICE -
2 BUDGET SECTION REPORT. In addition to the amounts appropriated in section 1 of this Act,
3 there is appropriated to the governor's office, any additional income from federal or other funds
4 which may become available to the governor's office, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2021,
5 and ending June 30, 2023. Any funds received under this section must be used for the specific
6 purpose intended for the funds or transferred to the appropriate state agency or institution.
7 Upon the receipt of funds under this section, the governor's office shall provide a report to the
8 budget section regarding the source, amount, and purpose of the funds received.
