1 A BILL for an Act to amend and reenact section 23-27-04.6 of the North Dakota Century Code,
2 relating to the authority of a quick response unit.
3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF NORTH DAKOTA:
4 SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. Section 23-27-04.6 of the North Dakota Century Code is
5 amended and reenacted as follows:
6 23-27-04.6. Quick response units.
7 1. Department licensure as a quick response unit is not optional. The department's
8 standards under section 23-27-04 for the time whenduring which a quick response
9 unit's services must be available may not require twenty-four hour availability.
10 2. A quick response unit may not transport a patient, except:
11 a. For the purpose of intercepting an ambulance service if the quick response unit is
12 staffed with a driver and two emergency medical responders; or
13 b. As authorized by rule.
