1 A BILL for an Act to amend and reenact section 39-10-51 of the North Dakota Century Code,
2 relating to unattended motor vehicles; and to provide a penalty.
3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF NORTH DAKOTA:
4 SECTION 1. AMENDMENT. Section 39-10-51 of the North Dakota Century Code is
5 amended and reenacted as follows:
6 39-10-51. Unattended motor vehicle.
7 No personAn individual driving or in charge of a motor vehicle may not permit itthe vehicle
8 to stand unattended without first stopping the engine, effectively setting the brake thereonon the
9 vehicle, and, when standing upon any grade, turning the front wheels of the vehicle must be
10 turned to the curb or side of the highway or street.
