1 A JOINT RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE GOVERNOR'S APPOINTMENTS OF
2 JULIANNA EARP, MARK DAVIS, MICHAEL ROBINSON, AND ADAM CONRAD AS
3 SPECIAL SUPERIOR COURT JUDGES FOR THE BUSINESS COURTS.
4 Whereas, under the provisions of G.S. 7A-45.1(a10), as special superior court
5 judgeships become vacant, the Governor shall submit the names of his nominees for those
6 judgeships to the General Assembly for confirmation by ratified joint resolution; and
7 Whereas, the Governor wishes to appoint Julianna Earp and Mark Davis and to
8 reappoint Michael Robinson and Adam Conrad as special superior court judges for the Business
9 Courts; and
10 Whereas, the Governor has submitted to the presiding officers of the House of
11 Representatives and the Senate the names of his nominees for terms as special superior court
12 judges for the Business Courts; Now, therefore,
13 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
14 SECTION 1. The General Assembly confirms the appointment of Julianna Earp as
15 a special superior court judge for the Business Court, whose term of office shall commence on
16 July 1, 2021, and whose term of office shall end five years from the appointment.
17 SECTION 2. The General Assembly confirms the appointment of Mark Davis as a
18 special superior court judge for the Business Court, whose term of office shall commence on July
19 1, 2021, and whose term of office shall end five years from the appointment.
20 SECTION 3. The General Assembly confirms the reappointment of Michael
21 Robinson as a special superior court judge for the Business Court, whose term of office shall
22 commence after his term expires on July 1, 2021, and whose term of office shall end five years
23 from the appointment.
24 SECTION 4. The General Assembly confirms the reappointment of Adam Conrad
25 as a special superior court judge for the Business Court, whose term of office shall commence
26 after his term expires on December 23, 2021, and whose term of office shall end five years from
27 the appointment.
28 SECTION 5. This resolution is effective upon ratification.
