3 SERVICES, DIVISION OF CENTRAL MANAGEMENT AND SUPPORT, TO PROVIDE
4 FUNDING FOR PROGRAMS AND INITIATIVES BY COMMUNITY HEALTH
5 CENTERS AND FEDERALLY QUALIFIED HEALTH CENTERS TO TARGET RACIAL
6 AND ETHNIC HEALTH DISPARITIES.
7 The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
8 SECTION 1. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of
9 Health and Human Services, Division of Central Management and Support, the sum of two
10 million dollars ($2,000,000) in nonrecurring funds for the 2021-2022 fiscal year, to be allocated
11 equally among the following health centers, to be used to fund programs or initiatives targeting
12 racial and ethnic health disparities in diabetes, high blood pressure, and health conditions
13 attributed to food insecurity:
14 (1) The C.W. Williams Community Health Center, Inc., a nonprofit corporation
15 and federally qualified health center located in Mecklenburg County.
16 (2) Lincoln Community Health Center, Inc., a nonprofit corporation located in
17 Durham County.
18 (3) Triad Adult and Pediatric Medicine, Inc., a nonprofit corporation and federally
19 qualified health center located in Guilford County.
20 (4) Greene County Healthcare, Inc., a nonprofit corporation and federally
21 qualified health center with sites in Greene, Pitt, and Pamlico Counties.
22 SECTION 2. This act becomes effective July 1, 2021.
