2 AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE FAYETTEVILLE PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSION TO
3 ESTABLISH A SMALL BUSINESS ENTERPRISE PROGRAM.
4 The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
5 SECTION 1. Chapter VIA of the Charter of the City of Fayetteville, being Chapter
6 557 of the Session Laws of 1979, as amended by S.L. 2016-47, is amended by adding a new
7 section to read as follows:
8 "§ 6A.25. Small Business Enterprise. The Commission may establish a small business
9 enterprise program to promote the development of small businesses in the Fayetteville
10 Metropolitan Statistical Area in the manner provided by Section 8.40 of this Charter."
11 SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law.
