3 GOVERNMENTAL EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM BY BOARDS OF
4 ALCOHOLIC CONTROL.
5 The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
6 SECTION 1. G.S. 128-23 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:
7 "(h) Notwithstanding any provision of this section, G.S. 128-21(11), or any other
8 provision of law to the contrary, any board of alcoholic control that is not a participating
9 employer in the Retirement System on June 30, 2021, is not eligible to participate in the
10 Retirement System."
11 SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law.
