4 The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
5 SECTION 1. G.S. 7A-133(c) reads as rewritten:
6 "(c) Each county shall have the numbers of magistrates and additional seats of district
7 court, as set forth in the following table:

37 SECTION 2. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Administrative
38 Office of the Courts the sum of one hundred thirty-seven thousand seventy-eight dollars
39 ($137,078) in recurring funds for each fiscal year of the 2021-2023 fiscal biennium and six
40 thousand fifty-six dollars ($6,056) in nonrecurring funds for the 2021-2022 fiscal year to be used
41 to hire two additional magistrates to serve in Mecklenburg County pursuant to Section 1 of this
42 act.
43 SECTION 3. This act becomes effective July 1, 2021.
