4 TO SUPPORT THE AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH PROGRAM AT THE UNIVERSITY.
5 The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
6 SECTION 1. G.S. 66-58(c) reads as rewritten:
7 "(c) The provisions of subsection (a) shall not prohibit:
8 (1) The sale of products of experiment stations or test farms.
9 (1a) The sale of products raised or produced incident to the operation of a
10 community college or college viticulture/enology program as authorized by
11 G.S. 18B-1114.4 or the operation of a community college or college brewing,
12 distillation, or fermentation program as authorized by G.S. 18B-1114.6.
13 (1b) The sale by North Carolina State University at University-owned facilities of
14 dairy products, including ice cream, cheeses, milk-based beverages, and the
15 by-products of heavy cream, produced by the Dairy and Process Applications
16 Laboratory, so long as any profits are used to support the Department of Food
17 Science and College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at North Carolina State
18 University.
19 (1c) The sale by North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NC
20 A&T State University) at University-owned facilities of dairy products,
21 including ice cream, cheeses, milk-based beverages, and the by-products of
22 heavy cream, produced by the University Farm at NC A&T State University,
23 so long as any profits are used to support the Agricultural Research Program
24 and the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences at NC A&T State
25 University.

27 SECTION 2. If House Bill 966, 2019 Regular Session, becomes law, then Section
28 8.14 of that act is repealed.
29 SECTION 3. This act is effective when it becomes law.
