5 The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
6 SECTION 1. G.S. 74C-3(b) reads as rewritten:
7 "(b) "Private protective services" shall not include any of the following:

9 (14) An employee of a security department of a private business that conducts
10 investigations exclusively on matters internal to the business affairs of the
11 business.business or related to the location, disposition, or recovery of lost or
12 stolen property.
13 …."
14 SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law.
