HB 1959 -- ABORTION SURVIVORS PROTECTION ACT

This bill establishes the "Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act", which recognizes a child born alive after or during an abortion as a child with the same rights, privileges and immunities as any other live-born child. Any health care provider shall provide the same care that would be provided to any other child born alive at the same gestational age.

Also, this bill permits a court-appointed administrator to bring a cause of action for loss of life.

This bill is similar to HB 155 (2021).
