HB 1930 -- WATER WELL INSTALLATION

This bill prohibits any person from drilling or installing a potable water well within one mile of any site placed on the National Priorities List under the federal Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980. Anyone who drills or installs a well in violation of this prohibition may be fined up to $500, imprisoned for up to 90 days, or both, and must close the well.

This bill is similar to HB 1057 (2021).
