Currently, any truck or tractor-trailer engaged in transporting solid waste may operate with a weight not to exceed 22,400 pounds on one axle or 44,800 pounds on a tandem axle. This bill will change the weight limits to 20,000 pounds on one axle and 40,000 pounds on a tandem axle. This bill also allows an exception for trucks and tractor-trailers used primarily for agricultural purposes.
