This bill requires that 72 hours prior to performing an abortion, the physician who is to perform the abortion, or another qualified professional, must perform an ultrasound. Simultaneously with the ultrasound. The physician must provide an explanation of what the ultrasound is depicting, the number of unborn children, the location of each, and provide the ability for the woman to hear the heartbeat, or inform her of the baby s death.
This bill contains a severability clause.
This bill is the same as HB 67 (2021).
