This resolution calls upon the Governor to forgive any inadvertent but nonfraudulent overpayments of unemployment compensation that were funded by federal moneys during the officially declared state of emergency relating to the COVID-19 pandemic. This resolution also calls for the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations to repay overpayments that were already captured, release any outstanding liens or garnishments, and repay any inadvertent but nonfraudulent overpayments to the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Trust Fund on behalf of the recipients of alleged overpayments.
This bill is similar to HCR 30 (2021).
