COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "Do Pass" by the Standing Committee on Transportation by a vote of 13 to 0. Voted "Do Pass" by the Standing Committee on Rules- Legislative Oversight by a vote of 9 to 0.

This bill designates that portion of Interstate 55 crossing over Butler Hill Road in St. Louis County as the "Police Officer Michael V Langsdorf Memorial Bridge". The Department of Transportation will erect and maintain the signs, with the cost paid by private donations.

PROPONENTS: Supporters say that having a memorial bridge in honor of Mr. Langsdorf will mean a lot to his parents, and the public should remember his many years of service to the St. Louis area. This will be a fitting tribute.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Gregory; Jerry and Bess Langsdorf; Arnie C. Dienoff; St. Louis Police Officers Association; and the Missouri Fraternal Order of Police.

OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
