This bill specifies that, if a person is arrested for a misdemeanor or felony offense, the arresting officer must, within 24 hours of the arrest, notify the arrestee's parent or legal guardian if the arrestee is under 18 years old or the arrestee's designated person if the arrestee is 18 years old or older.
