This bill provides that the County Commission, not the County Salary Commission, will determine the salary of the county coroner in non-charter counties. The annual compensation of a county coroner in a non-charter county cannot be lower than the previous year except upon a two-thirds vote of the County Commission.
This bill is similar to SB 837 (2020).
