COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "Do Pass" by the Standing Committee on Transportation by a vote of 13 to 0. Voted "Do Pass" by the Standing Committee on Rules- Legislative Oversight by a vote of 9 to 0.

This bill designates a portion of State Highway 37 in Barry County as the "MSgt. Carl Cosper Jr. Memorial Highway". The costs of signs designating the highway shall be paid by private donations.

PROPONENTS: Supporters say that this is a fitting tribute to MSgt. Carl Cosper Jr.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Cupps.

OPPONENTS: Those who oppose the bill say that this is unfair to all other members of our armed forces that sacrificed their life for our freedom while on official duty.
