This bill establishes the "Daylight Saving as New Standard Time Pact", consisting of this state and any other state that wants to change permanently to Daylight Saving Time.
Missouri will be exempted from the Daylight Saving Time provisions of federal law.
In the year in which two states bordering Missouri join the Pact, each state will permanently change their clocks to Daylight Saving Time, and this time will become the Standard Time.
This bill is similar to HB 1356 (2020).
