This bill names The Gateway Arch in St. Louis as the Official State Monument.

PROPONENTS: Supporters say Gateway Arch is one of the one of the most recognizable monuments in the country. Arch commemorates Missouri's status as "the Gateway tot the West."

Testifying for the bill were Representative Wright; Janis Chatman; Colton Gabel; and Layton Massey.

OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
