COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "Do Pass" by the Standing Committee on Workforce Development by a vote of 11 to 0. Voted "Do Pass" by the Standing Committee on Rules- Legislative Oversight by a vote of 9 to 0.

This bill requires temporary, total and partial disability payments to be made to a claimant by check, other negotiable instrument, or by electronic transfer or other manner authorized by the claimant.

This bill is the same as HB 2035 (2020).

PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the bill will allow payment checks to be received up to six days earlier and will allow more efficient types of electronic transfer of funds.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Henderson; Arnie Dienoff; American Property Casualty Insurance Association; and the Missouri Insurance Coalition.

OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
