This bill requires the State Highway Patrol to create a web page with stolen firearm information including the serial number of firearms reported stolen, subject to appropriation. The information shall be searchable by serial number.

This bill is the same as HB 1993 (4455H.01I) (2020).

PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the bill allows for easy and accessible tracking of stolen firearms. The database benefits both resellers and gun owners who need to verify or locate firearms.

OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
