HB 45 -- DRUG UTILIZATION REVIEW BOARD

SPONSOR: Unsicker

This bill changes the membership of the Drug Utilization Review Board by removing the requirement that one member of the Board be a pharmacist with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or an Advanced Clinical Degree in Pharmacy who is employed by a pharmaceutical manufacturer of Medicaid-approved formulary drugs.

Instead, the bill allows three members to be pharmacists who hold Advanced Clinical Degrees in Pharmacy and who are active in the practice of pharmaceutical therapy and clinical pharmaceutical management; currently, there are two such members on the Board.

This bill is the same as HB 2158 (2020).
