This bill prohibits medical providers from administering any medical or surgical treatment for the purpose of gender reassignment for anyone under the age of 18. Any licensed health professional who assists in prohibited actions will be subject to license revocation and any parent who obtains such treatment for a child shall be reported to the Department of Social Services Children's Division for child abuse.
This bill is the same as HB 1721 (2020).
