This bill changes the total amount of unemployment compensation benefits an insured worker may receive during a benefit year. Currently, that amount is limited to the lesser of 20 times his or her weekly benefit, or 33 1/3% of his or her wage credits. The bill changes the benefit maximum from 20 to 26 times the weekly benefit amount.
This bill is similar to HB 1862 (2020).
