SB 912 - Under current law, a person commits the offense of genital mutilation if he or she excises or infibulates, in whole or in part, female genitalia of a child less than 17 years of age, or is a parent, guardian, or other person responsible for a female child under 17 years of age and allows the excision or infibulation, in whole or in part, of the female genitalia of such child.

This act adds provisions defining "female genital mutilation". Additionally, this act provides that a female child less than 18 years, instead of less than 17 years, will be subject to this act.

Finally, this act provides that a person commits the offense of genital mutilation if he or she removes, causes, permits, or facilitates the removal of a female child under 18 from Missouri for the purpose of performing genital mutilation on such child.
