Beginning in the 2021-22 school year, this bill sets the minimum teacher's salary for public schools to $26,000. The minimum teacher's salary will increase $1000 a year over the next six years and in 2027-28 school year and all subsequent years the minimum teacher's salary shall be $32,000.
Beginning in the 2021-22 school year, for any full-time teacher with a master's degree in an academic teaching field and at least 10 years teaching experience, the minimum teacher's salary is set at $34,000 and will increase over the next six years to reach $40,000 for the 2027-28 school year and all subsequent school years.
