This bill allows medications in multidose containers that were administered to or used for a patient during a hospital stay to be sent with the patient at discharge. The medication must be labeled. Controlled substances cannot be sent with the patient, with some exceptions for on-body medication delivery systems or controlled substance infusions.
This bill is the same as HB 727 (2019) and HCS HB 1870 (2018).
