This bill requires the use of a Help American Vote Act compliant machine for any blind or visually impaired voter to be used at any state, local or federal election. The costs of using the machines at any statewide or general election will be paid by the state and subject to appropriation. The bill does not require the voter to use the machine, and assisted voting for a blind or visually impaired voter is allowed.
This bill is the same as HB 1014 (2019).
