Currently, the Department of Social Services is required to hire a contractor to provide verification of eligibility for an applicant or recipient of assistance under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP); the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program; the child care assistance program; or the MO HealthNet Program at least quarterly. This bill makes hiring a contractor optional and requires verification of eligibility at least annually.
