HB 1294 -- NATIONAL MOTTO INSTRUCTION AND DISPLAY

This bill requires public buildings owned or leased by the state to display in a prominent location the national motto of the UnitedStates, as outlined in the bill (Section 8.925, RSMo).

The bill also requires school districts to provide instruction on the national motto of the United States as a part of the social studies curriculum by the 5th grade (Section 170.022).

Beginning in the 2020-21 school year schools are required to display the national motto of the United States, in a prominent location, as defined in the bill (Section 171.025).
