Upon voter approval, this proposed Constitutional amendment removes the City of St. Louis from the Constitutional provisions requiring vacancies in the office of circuit or associate circuit judge to be filled by appointment by the Governor. Qualified voters may still elect to have the vacancies filled by appointment, but the vacancies will not be required to be filled in this manner.
