HB 1372 -- MISSOURI RIGHT TO LIFE ACT

SPONSOR: Moon

This bill creates the "Missouri Right to Life Act." The bill states that the life of each human being begins at fertilization; repeals current statutory provisions acknowledging the preemption of state law by the Constitution of the United States and decisions of the United States Supreme Court; and requires law enforcement officers, officers of the court, and any licensed or state regulated entities in Missouri to affirmatively enforce Article I, Section 10 of the Constitution of Missouri, which specifies that no person must be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. The bill also specifies that the terms "unborn child" and "preborn child" have the same meaning and are interchangeable.

This bill is similar to HB 709 (2017) and HB 1794 (2016).
