SCS/SB 748 - This act creates the Justice Safety Valve Act, which allows the court to depart from a statutorily required minimum sentence or prison term when sentencing a defendant found guilty of an offense. The court may not depart from the statutory minimum sentence or prison term for certain offenses as specified in the act.JESSI JAMES
