relating to game and fish; modifying provisions for nonresident active duty military
to obtain license to take fish; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 97A.465,
subdivisions 2, 3.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 97A.465, subdivision 2, is amended to read:
A nonresident
who is in deleted text beginthe military and in training at Camp Ripleydeleted text endnew text begin active service as a member of the
United States armed forces, including the National Guard or other military reserves,new text end may
obtain a resident license to take fish.
Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 97A.465, subdivision 3, is amended to read:
The commissioner may issue a resident license
to take deleted text beginfish ordeleted text end game to a deleted text beginpersondeleted text endnew text begin nonresidentnew text end in the armed forces of the United States deleted text beginthatdeleted text endnew text begin
whonew text end is stationed in the state. This subdivision does not apply to deleted text beginthedeleted text end taking deleted text beginofdeleted text end moose or elk.
