relating to agriculture; appropriating money to assess the threats posed to pets and
people by flea and tick collars; requiring recommendations.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $250,000 in fiscal year 2022 is appropriated from the general fund to the Board of Animal
Health to assess the threats posed to Minnesota pets and people by flea and tick collars that
contain pesticide. The Board of Animal Health must consult the commissioners of agriculture,
health, and the Pollution Control Agency and report recommendations to the legislative
committees with jurisdiction over agriculture, health, and the environment no later than
February 1, 2022.
