A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled
"Public health code,"
(MCL 333.1101 to 333.25211) by adding section 20950a.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 20950a. An individual issued a licensed under section
2 20950(2) shall meet 1 of the following requirements:
3 (a) Subject to the youth employment standards act, 1978 PA 90,
4 MCL 409.101 to 409.124, if applying for a medical first responder
5 license, is 17 years of age or older. If at the time of the

1 application, the individual described in this subdivision is 17
2 years of age and less than 18 years of age, the application must be
3 signed by the individual's parent or guardian.
4 (b) Subject to the youth employment standards act, 1978 PA 90,
5 MCL 409.101 to 409.124, if applying for an emergency medical
6 technician license, is 17 years of age or older. If at the time of
7 the application, the individual described in this subdivision is 17
8 years of age and less than 18 years of age, the application must be
9 signed by the individual's parent or guardian.
10 (c) If applying for an emergency medical technician
11 specialist, paramedic, or emergency medical services instructor-
12 coordinator license, is 18 years of age or older.
13 Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect
14 unless Senate Bill No.____ or House Bill No. 5155 (request no.
15 03190'23) of the 102nd Legislature is enacted into law.
