A bill to amend 1954 PA 116, entitled
"Michigan election law,"
by amending section 613a (MCL 168.613a), as amended by 2015 PA 1.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 613a. (1) A statewide presidential primary election shall
2 must be conducted under this act on February 27, 2024, and on the
3 second fourth Tuesday in March February in each presidential
4 election year after 2024.
5 (2) A political party that received 5% or less of the total
6 vote cast nationwide for the office of president President of the

1 United States in the last presidential election shall not
2 participate in the presidential primary election.
3 (3) Except as otherwise provided in sections 614a to 616a,
4 624g, 759a, 759c, and 879a, the statewide presidential primary
5 election shall must be conducted under the provisions of this act
6 that govern the conduct of general primary elections.
