CONTENT

 

The supplemental includes fiscal year (FY) 2020-21 appropriations of $110,000 in the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs to allocate donated funds as one-time grants to eligible soldiers who served in Washington, DC, in the Capitol Response II mission.

 

FISCAL IMPACT

 

The bill includes $110,000 in Private fund authorization to support one-time grants to soldiers who served in the Capitol Response II mission.

 

FY 2020-21 BOILERPLATE LANGUAGE SECTIONS-PART 2

 

Sec. 201. General. Records amount of total State spending and payments to local units of government.

 

Sec. 202. General. Subjects appropriations and expenditures in the article to the provisions of the Management and Budget Act.

 

Sec. 203. General. Directs that, if the State Administrative Board transfers funds appropriated in the Act, the Legislature may, by concurrent resolution requiring a majority vote in each chamber, transfer funds within a particular department, board, commission, officer, or institution.

 

Sec. 301. Military and Veterans Affairs. Directs the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs to issue a one-time grant of funds received within 14 days of the bill's effective date to eligible soldiers. Defines "eligible soldiers" as those who deployed to Washington, DC, in support of the Capitol Response II mission at the United States Capitol. Requires the one-time grants to be issued within 45 days of the receipt of the donated funds. Requires that grants to eligible soldiers be the total amount of donations, up to $110,000, divided by the number of soldiers in order to provide equal grants to each eligible soldier.
