1 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
2 Sec. 1. 30-A MRSA §3015 is enacted to read:
3 §3015. Short-term accommodation rental prohibition
4 A municipality may not enact or enforce an ordinance, rule or order prohibiting a short-
5 term accommodation rental rented through a transient rental platform as defined in Title
6 36, section 1752, subsection 20-C.
7 SUMMARY
8 This bill prohibits municipalities from enacting or enforcing ordinances, rules or orders
9 that prohibit short-term accommodation rentals.
