1 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
2 Sec. 1. 36 MRSA §574-A, as amended by PL 2007, c. 627, §14, is further amended
3 by adding at the end a new paragraph to read:
4 For property tax years beginning on or after April 1, 2022, a parcel of land to which
5 public access for recreational use is limited or prohibited by the owner of that parcel is
6 ineligible for taxation under this subchapter.
7 SUMMARY
8 This bill excludes from benefits under the Maine Tree Growth Tax Law a parcel of
9 land to which public access for recreational use is limited or prohibited.
