1 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
2 Sec. 1. 35-A MRSA §10128 is enacted to read:
3 §10128. Rebate for backup power generators in rural areas
4 The trust shall provide a rebate of $1,000 toward the purchase of a residential backup
5 power generator for a person who resides in a rural area. For purposes of this section, "rural
6 area" has the same meaning as in 7 United States Code, Section 1991(a)(13).
7 SUMMARY
8 This bill directs the Efficiency Maine Trust to provide a rebate of $1,000 toward the
9 purchase of a residential backup power generator for a person who resides in a rural area.
