1 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
2 Sec. 1. 29-A MRSA §1611, sub-§2, ¶G is enacted to read:
3 G. For for-hire snowplow vehicles and vehicles used by landscaping or gardening
4 companies:
5 (1) There is a combined single limit of $125,000; or
6 (2) There is a split limit of $50,000 per person or $100,000 per occurrence for
7 bodily injury liability and $25,000 for property damage liability.
8 These vehicles must be covered by commercial policies.
9 SUMMARY
10 This bill adds for-hire snowplow vehicles and vehicles used by landscaping or
11 gardening companies to the provision of law requiring a minimum amount of insurance. It
12 requires the vehicles to be covered by commercial policies with a combined single limit of
13 $125,000 or a split limit of $50,000 per person or $100,000 per occurrence for bodily injury
14 liability and $25,000 for property damage liability.
