1 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
2 Sec. 1. 38 MRSA §1306, sub-§7 is enacted to read:
3 7. Plastic waste from a vessel with origin in another jurisdiction or country. A
4 port on navigable waters in the State may not receive from a vessel plastic waste originating
5 from another jurisdiction or country.
6 SUMMARY
7 This bill prohibits a port on navigable waters in the State from receiving from a vessel
8 plastic waste originating from another jurisdiction or country.
