1 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
2 Sec. 1. 38 MRSA §543-A is enacted to read:
3 §543-A. Purging of volatile organic compound gases prohibited
4 The purging of volatile organic compound gases from cargo holds or tanks into or upon
5 state waters is prohibited.
6 SUMMARY
7 This bill prohibits the purging of volatile organic compound gases from cargo holds or
8 tanks into or upon state waters.
