1 Sec. 1. Department of Health and Human Services to increase the amount
2 of adoption assistance. Resolved: That no later than October 1, 2021, the Department
3 of Health and Human Services shall amend its rules in 10-148, Chapter 13 to require that
4 an adoptive family receive the same level of financial assistance for long-term or limited-
5 period adoption assistance as the family received when the child was in treatment-level
6 foster care. The department shall increase the amount of its long-term adoption assistance
7 and limited-period adoption assistance to equal the reimbursement rates provided in 10-
8 148, Chapter 14 for a child who has been assessed to require a treatment level of foster care
9 at level C, D or E. Rules adopted pursuant to this section are routine technical rules as
10 defined in Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter 2-A.
11 SUMMARY
12 This resolve directs the Department of Health and Human Services to require that an
13 adoptive family receive the same level of financial assistance for long-term or limited-
14 period adoption assistance as the family received when the child was in treatment-level
15 foster care.
