1 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
2 Sec. 1. 20-A MRSA §6404 is enacted to read:
3 §6404. Access to menstrual products
4 A school administrative unit shall require all schools that serve students in grades 6 to
5 12 to make available menstrual products to students at no cost in all school bathrooms. For
6 purposes of this section, "menstrual product" means tampons and pads used with respect to
7 menstruation.
8 SUMMARY
9 This bill requires school administrative units to require all schools that serve students
10 in grades 6 to 12 to make available menstrual products to students at no cost in all school
11 bathrooms.
